History
An active lifestyle has always been a part of me. Running used to be my go-to exercise, especially after dropping my 3 kids off at Kindy. It was my time to clear my mind and feel the physical and mental benefits of exercise. However, an injury from running led me to swimming at Marlborough Lines Stadium 2000. It was a safe way to keep my fitness without irritating my knees. Swimming for an hour, three times a week soon got boring! I eventually gave in to my mother's suggestion of trying "aquacise". I used to think it was just for old people, but boy I was wrong! It gave me a total body workout and cardio all at once, and I gained a new respect for those "old people".
One of the swim teachers I knew soon approached me with an opportunity to become a swim teacher- after some initial hesitation (I mean, what did I know about swim teaching?), I couldn't say no! The hours worked well around the kids at school, so why not? Soon after, I was qualified as a swim teacher group fitness instructor, coach and now personal trainer with a love of the water and creating new and exciting exercises.

Now my 3 kids are teenagers. I along with many other professional instructors around the word are on a mission to introduce as many people as possible to what I call the magical benefits of the water and a way of working out that all my clients will tell you is fun!
